Adventure Begins At Your Library

Summer is just around the corner and do you know what that means?

The Pittston Memorial Library is getting ready for Summer Reading and this year, Adventure Begins at Your Library!

From Story Time to Story Squad, our younger patrons will be introduced to great stories, activities, and make new friends! Teens will try their hands at tie-dye and test their skills in our Escape Room! Our new STEAM lab will be open for programming with 3D printers, circuit building and art projects!

The fun isn’t just for kids! Our adult patrons are welcome to join one of our many book clubs, craft programs, or BINGO. They will have an opportunity to not only learn a new skill, but meet new people.

Our Summer Reading Kick-Off event is Saturday, June 8 from 1PM-3PM and it is going to be a community-wide extravaganza! Face painting, activities, Pittston City Fire and Police Departments will be there with their vehicles, and some free treats! You can pick up your Summer Reading Calendar of Events and register for all of our events on June 8, or by coming into the library during business hours beginning Monday, June 10.
